Diabolik The Original Sin PSP

Diabolik The Original Sin

Description:
Although a name not widely recognized around the world, Diabolik has been around for many decades, an achievement that has finally earned him the distinction of his own adventure game. Inspired by the fictional French master of disguise Fantômas, and created by sisters Luciana and Angela Giussani, Diabolik made his first appearance in 1962 with the publication The King of Terror, and he has been a key figure in Italian comic books ever since. For those who don’t know who he is, Diabolik is a handsome and perilous man, a thief with a knack for expensive technological devices and a consummate womanizer, although in the end he remains ever-faithful to Eva Kant, his soulmate and partner in crime. In the early books, Diabolik was depicted as a ruthless and cruel criminal, and he and Eva were capable of doing anything to accomplish their goals. Over the years, however, their motivations became more ambiguously portrayed – like a modern day Robin Hood, but without the whole “give the loot to the poor” thing – and they were shown stealing mainly from enriched malefactors, mafia lords and corrupt politicians.Read the rest at AdventureGamers

Adventures To Go PSP

Adventures To Go PSP

Description
Natsume's Adventures to Go is a role-playing game where you never really need to leave town. The quests come to you, ordered up specifically to your parameters at the local adventurers' outpost, also called Adventures to Go. The game's laid-back, light-hearted atmosphere is largely enjoyable, but the RPG action itself becomes rote after just a few hours. You have to really like the idea of a customizable JRPG with plenty of special missions and monster grinding to get the most out of Adventures to Go...Read the rest at IGN

Half Minute Hero PSP

Half Minute Hero PSP

Description:
Without trying to sound like I'm looking to get a quote on the back of the box, the impending release of Half-Minute Hero is currently at the top of the list of reasons why it's a great time to be a PSP owner. Sure, the PSPgo is here and Sony's got some big first party stuff coming soon in Jak and Daxter, SOCOM, and LittleBigPlanet, but Half-Minute Hero is just days away, cheap, funny, built for short play sessions, and clever as all hell. Cars Race-O-Rama PSP

Description
Licensed games are a cash cow, that much is absolutely certain or publishers wouldn't pay out their hoo-ha to pick 'em up and rush to get something out in time to meet the big-screen complement. Kids' games are especially prone to being dumped on some poor developer with the expectation that come hell or high water, the game will be in stores to help bilk unsuspecting but well-meaning parents, grandparents and the otherwise blissfully uninformed out of a few more bucks...Read the rest at IGN

Beaterator PSP ISO/CSO

Beaterator PSP

Description:
Rockstar Games has a reputation for creating a lot of different things: violent murder simulators, drug dealing minigames, and car stealing games. So Beaterator comes as a bit of a surprise; the software isn't a game at all, but a full-featured music creator for the PSP. Beaterator takes some serious time to get a firm grasp on, but if you've got the patience, this is probably the best (and cheapest) way to produce your own music on the go...Read the rest at 1Up

Disgaea 2 PSP

Disgaea 2 PSP

Description
Disgaea 2 first made its appearance back on the PS2 in 2006. All the content from the original release is all here, including the same story. New things that have been added include new weapons, items, magic and a new move called Magichange (this allows a monster on your team to change into a weapon for you to use), which was first introduced in Disgaea 3. The main inclusion for fans of the series is the new story mode featuring Axel, one of the major non-playable characters of Disgaea 2. Axel’s story mode is unlocked after you complete the original story of Disgaea 2.Read the rest at Dark Zero

Undead Knights PSP

Undead Knights PSP

Description:
The PSP has made itself home to a number of weird and quirky titles, the latest of which is Tecmo's Undead Knights. Pitting you as a member of the Blood family, who were struck down when they spoke out about the king's new wife being too controlling of the land, and then brought back from the grave with the power to raise the dead (hence the title), the game is two parts action title and one part (simplistic) realtime strategy. The idea is solid, if clearly destined for a niche audience, but the production quality and controls leave a lot to be desired...Read the rest at IGN

Obscure The Aftermath PSP

Obscure The Aftermath PSP

Description;
When the original Obscure hit retail shelves in 2005, it introduced gamers to a fairly new take on the survival-horror subgenre with fully cooperative play. Although the game was met with mixed reviews, the co-op theme certainly warranted praise and was appropriately carried over to the sequel, Obscure: The Aftermath. Aftermath arrived on several consoles early last year and I was fairly pleased with certain parts of the experience. The mix of co-op play and survival-horror was still an enjoyable concept and some of the atmospheric environments were executed wonderfully. The music was the icing on the cake, as the startling beautiful, unmistakably chilling soundtrack seemed almost too good to be true for a "budget level" game...Read the rest at IGN

Madden NFL 10 PSP

Madden NFL 10 PSP

Description:
Every year there's a new Madden NFL game and every year it seems as though the PSP and PS2 are left in the dust with a lacking offering of modes and features. Sure, these systems may not be the focus for every gamer, but at the very least Sony's handheld deserves some attention. Thankfully this year it seems that EA Sports put a bit more weight behind the portable system and what we get is a much improved footballer experience – not to mention a brand new mode that PSP fans are sure to enjoy.Read the rest at IGN

FIFA 10 PSP ISO/CSO

FIFA 10 PSP

Description:
Innovation is a subject that the general gaming public loves to harp on whenever EA Sports launches one of its yearly sports titles. FIFA Soccer 10 on consoles such as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 was home to changes that will alter the way other soccer games are judged. On Wii the series took an interesting turn with a more arcade-style feel. The PSP has likely seen the smallest number of innovations and changes to the core formula, and while that doesn't dampen the enjoyment of the soccer, I still would've liked to see more effort put into creating new handheld-specific modes. Tales Of Eternia PSP

Description
It says something that, immediately after its Japanese release, Tales of Eternia was hacked by fans, the original Japanese text extracted and replaced by an English translation before being sewn back together and promptly released onto the internet.
Quite what is says is dependent on your viewpoint. Maybe the game is so good that its accessibility to a western-tongued world was of such urgency to grassroots players that they'd risk life and litigation to make it available before a publisher could.Read the rest at EuroGamer

Unbound Saga PSP

Descriptions
Back in 1995, Comix Zone came to the SEGA Genesis and featured a comic book artist named Sketch who got sucked into his own creation. Set in a series of comic book panels, the artist had to battle enemies so that he could hop into the next box and get closer to getting out. Now, Unbound Saga is doing the exact same thing except that you're the main character this time around and you're trying to get out to meet "The Maker."Read the rest at IGN

Steambot Chronicles Battle Tournament PSP

Steambot Chronicles Battle Tournament PSP

Description
Steambot Chronicles deserves a lot of props for, if nothing else, deciding to do mech combat and cheery exploration in a way that PS2 owners hadn't really seen before. For me, the game's charm and customization couldn't overcome some rather clunky controls, but the steampunk-powered, Victorian-themed world held plenty of possibility. That there's even a chance to tap into that world on the PSP means there's reason enough for those that weren't hamstrung by the PS2 version's controls to get excited -- particularly because the game's controls, while still decently complex, aren't quite as clunky...Read the rest at IGN

The Bigs 2 PSP

The Bigs 2 PSP

Description:
The Bigs 2 handles basic hitting and pitching mechanics quite well, and, thankfully, it avoids the PSP's analog stick for anything more than pitch location and hit trajectory. While batting, you have the choice between a less powerful swing for simply advancing runners with base hits, or you can go for the stands with a power swing. Getting solid hits is solely about timing, hearkening back to MLB Slugfest and other similar titles, as opposed to messing with the analog stick to control the bat, like MLB 2K9. Similarly, pitching in Bigs 2 reminds me of a more simple time in videogames: you simply charge up a turbo meter and choose from one of four pitches.Read the rest at 1Up

Smart Bomb PSP

Smart Bomb PSP

Description:
The puzzle game is a standard genre for handheld systems, but the puzzle games that have made it onto Sony's PlayStation Portable system have been anything but standard. We've had music puzzlers, goo-based puzzle games, and now we have a puzzle game that's all about bombs. This weary genre needs some surprises and shocks to wake it back up again, but sometimes, developers put too much pressure on the formula twist too much when a simple brainteaser would do.Read the rest at IGN

Lumines 2 PSP

Lumines 2 PSP

Description:
With all of the prelaunch hype touting the power of the PSP, few would have guessed that the handheld's best game would be a puzzle game; but that's just what happened. Q Entertainment didn't take any chances with the original's formula in the sequel and instead focused on adding more of everything--skins, music, and play modes. Lumines II is a game that feels fresh for the first few hours, but once the newness of the music wears off, it's pretty much the same as Lumines. It's still one of the best puzzle games of the year, but it's hard not to wish that the game played at least somewhat differently...Read the rest at UK GameSpot

Mega Man Maverick Hunter X PSP

Mega Man Maverick Hunter X PSP

Description:
To many fans, the original Mega Man X proved a major highlight in the series. It retained the cooler aspects of the Mega Man franchise while offering something altogether unique. Everything fans had come to love, including slick presentation, cool bosses and precise control, received even better treatment in the "X" series. It also traded the overly cute, baby-robot aesthetic of the original for an older, slightly grizzled look. Nothing you'd call edgy, of course, but it was nonetheless a big departure.
